Felix has been a Partner with the firm since 1992 having previously been a Partner with a London firm. He now heads up the residential conveyancing team in the Exeter Office and has a wide involvement across the firm in property matters. He deals with a considerable amount of commercial property work and has some significant clients in the local area.
Jo qualified as a solicitor in 2006 following a previous career in the NHS where she worked for many years as a nurse in London. She relocated to the west country in 2003 where she completed her training at a high street firm in East Devon. Jo joined the residential conveyancing team in Exeter as an assistant solicitor at the beginning of 2017. She is experienced in a wide variety of residential conveyancing matters both freehold and leasehold, including new build properties. Jo also has a background in family law and has extensive experience in acting for divorcing and separating couples in the sale or transfer of jointly owned properties. Jo was made a Partner in 2018
Ashton studied for her law degree at the University of West of England in Bristol where she graduated with a 2:1 with Honours. Ashton then went on to pass the Legal Practice Course in Plymouth.
After her studies, Ashton worked in the Conveyancing Department of a large law firm before joining Ford Simey in 2015 as a law graduate, handling a wide range of transactions. Ashton underwent her training contract with the firm and we were delighted when she decided to join our Exeter conveyancing team upon qualification as a Solicitor in January 2018.
Ashton has always lived and worked in the South West so she is extremely familiar with the local area.
Clive is a Solicitor in the Residential Conveyancing Department based in Exmouth. He joined the Firm in November 2016 after working for another local firm since 1990 where he dealt with an extensive range of property transactions.
Clive has also been an Accredited Family Law Specialist and dealt with co-ownership disputes which has provided him with considerable insight into the advisability of Declarations of Trust in property ownership.
Born in Exeter in 1951. After reading law at Oxford he joined Ford Simey as a trainee and became a Partner in 1983. He has extensive experience of domestic and commercial conveyancing in the West Country. He is a past chairman of the non contentious business committee of the local Law Society.
Anna is a Solicitor in the Residential Conveyancing department, dealing with a wide variety of Leasehold and Freehold transactions. She joined Ford Simey LLP in 2014, subsequently completing her training with the firm, and qualified as a Solicitor in January 2017.
Anna is Vice Chair of the Non-Contentious Business Committee for Devon & Somerset Law Society, addressing developments in the areas of Land Registry, Conveyancing, Probate and Trusts and responding to Government consultations on proposed changes to the law in property matters.
Anna was promoted to Associate at Ford Simey in 2018.
Before studying law, Anna studied languages for her BA (Hons) degree at the University of Central Lancashire, and worked for 15 years in the telecommunications industry. She then went on to complete the Graduate Diploma in Law and obtained a Distinction in the Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Practice, both at the Bristol Institute of Legal Practice.
Paula was born in Honiton and is a Chartered Legal Executive, admitted to the Institute of Legal Executives in 1992. She has recently become an Affiliate member of DASLS. Prior to joining the firm in July 2014, she worked for another local firm for many years, and has over 35 years experience of all types of residential property work, and extensive knowledge of Honiton and its surroundings.
Paula also acts as Steward to the Trustees of a number of local Charities, a position she has held for over twenty years, is an Executive Member of Honiton Chamber of Commerce and Industry, a member of the Dementia Friendly Honiton steering committee and a Dementia Friend.
