Matthew joined Ford Simey in 2015 and is a partner in the Commercial Department. He studied law at the University in Birmingham and then trained as a solicitor at Wragge & Co before moving to Devon in 2005. He has worked in Exeter ever since, serving clients across the south-west. He deals with a broad variety of commercial property transactions including business sales, commercial leases and residential development.
David is an Associate in the Commercial Property department. Based in Exeter‚ he joined Ford Simey in 2015. David advises clients on all aspects of commercial property work‚ including acquisitions and disposals‚ development work, portfolio management, property investment and secured lending. One of David’s particular areas of expertise is dealing with landlord and tenant matters.
Felix has been a Partner with the firm since 1992 having previously been a Partner with a London firm. He now heads up the residential conveyancing team in the Exeter Office and has a wide involvement across the firm in property matters. He deals with a considerable amount of commercial property work and has some significant clients in the local area.
Thomas is an Associate Solicitor working in the Dispute Resolution and Litigation team in Exeter. He deals with a broad range of commercial and civil disputes with a particular emphasis on property disputes (including: trespass, adverse possession, boundary disputes, restrictive covenants, easements, commercial and residential landlord & tenant, dilapidations, cohabitee property disputes and forfeiture etc); together with contractual disputes, nuisance and professional negligence claims.
He advises international, national and local companies, landlords, developers, management companies & private clients, providing strategic, proactive and commercial advice and solutions on a wide range of issues. Thomas also assists the commercial team with some non-contentious commercial matters.
He joined Ford Simey LLP in 2010 as a trainee and qualified as a solicitor in September 2012. Before Ford Simey, he attained a First in his LLB and Distinction on his LPC course. In March 2012 he gained his Civil Higher Rights of Audience Award. In 2014 he achieved a Post Graduate Certificate in Commercial Law (Distinction).
